Meet Your Expert
Leo Power
Born and raised in Cádiz, Spain, Leo Power embodies the spirit of flamenco. From an early age, she immersed herself in the traditions of Andalusian music, singing and dancing at local gatherings before developing her career as a performer and educator.
Her journey has taken her far beyond the streets of Cádiz. She has blended flamenco with rock, funk, and African rhythms, forming the group Asú de Verde, and later became a cantaora and percussionist in London’s Alma Flamenco Company. Since returning to Cádiz in 2005, she has remained a dedicated performer and teacher, earning the title of Gaditana of the Year in 2017.
Leo’s teaching goes beyond technique—she shares the emotion, history, and soul of flamenco. In this course, she will guide you through the essential palos, helping you master letras, quejíos, and coletillas while deepening your understanding of flamenco’s powerful storytelling tradition.
