Learn To Connect With Your Voice
Flamenco singing isn’t just about hitting the right notes. It’s about emotion, storytelling, and rhythm. The voice is the heart of flamenco, carrying centuries of history through raw, expressive melodies and intricate rhythmic phrasing. From the deep lament of Tientos to the lively energy of BulerÃas, each palo has its own identity, and mastering them requires more than just technique, it demands feeling.
This course will take you inside the rich and emotive world of flamenco, breaking down essential styles like Tangos, Tientos, BulerÃas, and Alegrias with step-by-step guidance. You’ll learn how to develop vocal power, precision, and rhythmic control, while also understanding the deep cultural roots that make this music so powerful.
Even if you never pursue a career in flamenco, this passionate, expressive approach to singing will transform how you perform any style of music. Learning to channel emotion, control dynamics, and connect with your voice on a deeper level will make you a more confident and compelling singer, no matter the genre. Whether you’re a vocalist looking to refine your artistry or a musician wanting to understand flamenco from the inside, this course led by Cádiz-born cantaora Leo Power will give you the tools to bring any song to life with true emotional depth.

Dear all,
I have an enquiry regarding the course. I did not see in the course chapters, any lessons in relation to the specific vocal technique used to sing i.e. breathing, diaphragm technique, throat position, vowels and register mixing and voice hygiene. Can you give me more information if the teacher speaks on the topic or the focus is mainly on the styles of flamenco music?
Thanj you in advance.
Thanks Teodor. In traditional flamenco, especially among the gypsy singers of Southern Spain, vocal technique is often not taught in a formalized way like you’ve suggested. The focus is more about the emotion, expression and learnt by listening and imitating. In flamenco and in this course you won’t find instruction on things like where the soft palette and mouth position should be and how to resonate from there however, mimic the sounds and you’ll learn the vowel shapes and be able to replicate that open sound.
