Sharing for end of 1st module assignment for the excellent course ‘Tribal Fingerstyle Guitar’ with Niwel Tsumbu. Really enjoying so far and Niwels intro to intervals in Congolese (and much African) music particularly helpful. Heres a basic version of Franco Luambo Makiadi’s piece on a little 3/4. Have been playing around with adding swing (thanks for inspiration Derek Gripper!)

That’s great @carey.idle Thank you for being the first to post an end of module assignment. Like it. Practicing the swing feel could be a good way of loosening up the timing and making it feel less rigid. I wonder if you could incorporate a tiny bit of that feel into the straight version
