Sharing another end of module assignment for the great ‘Tribal Fingerstyle Guitar’ course. Heres a rough version of part of Yamba Ma Pasa on little 3/4. Bit clucky, but great to be learning these gems. Inspiring to see everyones video posts too.

      • Nice one @carey.idle Sounds steady. This one and the next one in that course are pretty epic pieces. Looking at your thumb position of the left hand. Although I’m not a 6 string guitarist from @fernando-perez‘s awesome guitar technique revision workshops we’ve done in the past one regular thing he was encouraging is to not have that left thumb poking out over the top of the neck but instead be more central, somewhere opposite the A D or G string round the back. Reason being is that when the thumb is up there where you’ve got it it basically shortens the length and reach of all your fingers making it more difficult to play. You’ll see tonnes of guitarists using the thumb like that, even some of the most famous but the reality is that most musicians have space to improve their technique

@edd Thanks Edd! Good tips, appreciated and will work on the wandering thumb:)… I’m usually more aware of this happening when using the smaller classical guitars but it’s a good reminder thanks. Definitely been many moons since classical hand positioning. Been getting lazy no doubt: ) Looking forward to the last module song challenge!
