I started playing guitar as a self-taught musician when I was 15, accompanying songs with some friends. I started learning some fingerstyle when I was about 18 and that was very important to me, because I discovered I could build up small whole arrangements for just my own instrument.
I fell in love with country&western styles and after a while another great love was brazialian genres, bossanova above all. I could use my fingers to play bass lines, sophisticated harmonies and even melody all the same: fascinating! Goin’n in life I have been gradually interested by jazz music, but also some so-called world music: genres as flamenco, samba, bossanova and other south american genres, mostly in acoustig combos, and preferably with nylon stringed guitar.
After a few season in a rock band, I was involved form more than a decade with a acoustic ensemble (2 nylon guitars, percussion and vocals). I also tried playing in some jazz combos, and in arranging itaian songwriters songs. At the moment I’m interested in developing original ideas and I’d like to explore new genres to gather inspirational hints.
