My Musical Journey

Both my grandmothers were singers in their youth, and my family is very musical. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive any musical training, but I was always recruited in the choir and glee club at school. Also, Filipinos invented karaoke.

I enjoy singing with the Some Voices choir, have performed with the Sunday Assembly ‘Wedding Band’ at Wilderness Festival in 2021, and recently participated in the 2025 immersive theatre show YMBBT with Scene 26 musicians. These days, I’m also found chanting mantras at meditation, kirtan and other devotional gatherings.

What's special about these songs?

My selection will probably change frequently depending on mood and how often I use this site. For starters, to give a sense of my eclectic tendencies:

1. Mantra meditation to rave to, either without use of substances or with.
2. Fell in love with The Ideal Crash album in 1999, still in love with dEUS.
3. The Sun album is a favourite, and my great-grandmother was first nation Cherokee, her name was Florence Maud Whitehead Marshall
