My Musical Journey

I’m Tolbert Pitman, originally from east Texas and arrived in the Dallas – Ft. Worth area in the early 80’s to play some rock & roll and lay down some funk bass. Growing up in east Texas, I had the opportunity to play various styles of music from blues, country, gospel, soul, pop and funk and in all sorts of churches, bowling ally bars, honky tonks, clubs and theaters. I’ve been doing this a while, mainly as a live performer from Dallas, TX to Rio de Janeiro and some recording dates, for artists and jingles.

I have a home studio now and can supply you with some great bass from slap to fretless or both.

I have been involved with some great local projects and would love to be involved with other musicians and artists from all over the globe.

What's special about these songs?

All of these bassists bring a unique style to the music they play. They are in the background in a traditional bassist role, and able to bring bass to the forefront with beautiful lyrical solos and complex rhythms.
